Movie Review. Help

Is the world in which you are living in now what you think it is? Life as you know it will change after riding The Matrix wave. This revolutionary, mind-blowing film will distort your perception on reality.

The Wachowski Brothers Andy and Larry have outdone themselves since their debut film titled “Bound”. The Matrix brings a whole new light to the science fiction (or sci-phi due to its many philosophical allusion) genre.

The year is 1999, and Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves) is a business man by day, hacker by night. He leads a double life. Neo is soon contacted by a man named Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), who tells him about “The Matrix-the world that revolves around him isn’t the truth-it isn’t real.  Of course, the only way for Neo to learn more about The Matrix and to uncover what is real, is for him to experience it for himself. With that, Neo is forced to make a decision, make a choice between two lifestyles- “You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes”

With Neo choosing the latter, the audience falls into an escapade of what this “Matrix” business is all about- an artificial intelligence system that controls people’s minds into thinking that they are experiencing reality, when really they are being used as a disposable energy source for AI itself- a human battery. To Morpheus, Neo is humankind’s saviour, messianic figure-“The One” who can restore humanity’s freedom. Of course, all of this information is just a tad overwhelming (to say the least) for Neo, who doesn’t believe in any of it, but Morpheus is determined to show him the truth…

Unlike other science-fiction movies, The Matrix was able to grasp my attention-and have a firm grip on it too. The Matrix is one of the greatest movies effects-wise of its time; for the Wachowski Brothers to seize the bullet time technology-and for them to pull it off well- is just one of the many aspects that makes The Matrix visually stunning. The fast-paced plot is matched with its fast-paced action-there is never a dull moment for the eyes throughout The Matrix. With numerous martial arts kinetics...

Hidden within the almost “decoyed” action sequences comes a deeper meaning for The Matrix. This film is chock-full of religious references
Keanu Reeves embraces the character of Neo/Thomas Anderson. He is able to conform to the ever-growing character of Neo.
Whilst the character of Neo was clearly developed throughout “The Matrix”, I felt as though the other characters were at a bit of a stand-still. Take the character of Trinity for example, who is...

In my opinion, this is the sort of movie that teenagers should refer to watching in the future rather than any overly-clichéd vampire romances which lack morals and well thought out plots.

I believe if you haven’t seen The Matrix already, you are really missing out on a fantastic, revolutionary sci-fi thriller.
In this film’s case, Ignorance really isn’t bliss.

AND

Edit: Ew, this post is SO DREARY. Lets all be happy people. A wise person once said:
"Money is root of all evil. Give me yours and save yourself."

No, that's not the right quote.
How about this one:

"Let's take some time out to be ridiculous"

be a DICK and copyandpasta from devart:

So it happens that when i'm in a depressed mood...

That I turn all hyper and bounce around the place like an idiot.

Must be the Fluoxitine I'm on ._.

ANYWAY, I'm in a shit atm. I have been sick with the flu, haven't been able to do much of my school work and am now behind by what seems to be a bloody mile.
Art History-Finish 3 paintings of the Eiffel Tower and write 200 words for each about the specific art movement you have based it on.
Photography- Take 3 photos that resemble an artist model you have chosen and write about them
Art Design- Draw up 4 typography designs, 2 handmade, 2 digital. Write about them.
English-Compose a four minute speech about Shakespeare's "Othello", and accuse/defend a character of your choice. Must be formally written, (Mine ended up being 7 minutes long...)
Maths-Algebra test tomorrow. Finish entire homework book.
Chemistry-Finish chapters 1-3 in workbook.

And its all due in in 2 days. Fml.

Oh and to top it all off one of my guy friends who is just asdfghjklkjdshkjfvjadsklcfvkjdvkj <3 likes one of my friends. She hates his guts, thinks he's creepy. He's not really talking to me, I think he got bored with me, the player... -_____-
But thats okay, cuz i'm not really talking to him. Psh.
BUT I STILL- okay, nm >w<

Oh, and I fainted in 2 classes. In front of everyone.
And I had to be carried across the school by 3 of my friends.
My sister saw and thought it was hil-arious. Egg...

But despite all of this, all I feel like doing is putting on some FUN, upbeat music and jumping around like a complete idiot.

Oh and I also tore the cartilage under my knee cap. It hurts. It's going to take up to 3 months to heal.

Shit, I have to do my speech tomorrow. I've only memorized like, less than .5 of it, and because my throat is sore due to the flu, I will hacking and coughing all the way through it. FML :/

WELL, I think that's enough ranting for the time being.

"Somewhere between laughing for no reason, making fun of each other and calling each other names...I sort of fell for you..."

Toodles.

Weird Dreams (again)

Might have something to do with the fact that I'm ill...

Anywho, here goes:
p.s, it has driving parrots T^T

Weird Dreams
1
I was staying at my grandmother and grandfather’s house, as it was the holidays. Although we (my sister and I) share a bedroom upstairs for some reason, we were sleeping in the rumpus room. It was approx. 11 pm, and the basement was really spooky. As I was going downstairs, this gong-wind chime started crashing really loudly, but there was no wind. I went upstairs taking my sister with me, and we played Pokémon HG and SS for the rest of the night.

2
I driving in this car, a these two Parrots-yes, parrots- were the drivers. I know. Wtf. There was a lady in the passenger seat next to them, and if they didn’t think they could turn the wheel in time, they’d squawk “American!”  And she’d turn the wheel briskly for them. All of a sudden I was in town on this scooter, board thingy, which hovered, and was being led by the two parrots. I went into Smith City and we had to find the baby parrot. So I circled the town again and again looking for this baby parrot. Alannah said that she saw a parakeet outside dollar value, so I went there to try and catch it. It was on the roof, but I coaxed it down into my hands. Then, I asked “are you sure this is the right bird?” so we went inside the shop to make sure. Then we were looking at lip glosses, and I kept saying “I think the bird we have is the right one.” So we left. I brought the bird back to its parent parrots, and they flew off. I jumped in a van that my mum was driving to go home (which is weird as my mum doesn’t drive a van, nor do we even own one) and I got this text that consisted of some lyrics from a second hand serenade song, but I forgot which song. Then for the rest of the dream, I had a Relient K song stuck in my head: “Flare”. Weird.

Today was a shit day.

To start off, I worked really hard on a project to earn my group pizza.
We won.
I then found out I had to go during lunch to the orthodontist.
I told my friends to save me a slice.
They didn't.
All that work for nothing.

SO  I went to the canteen to get me some lunch since the only other thing I had was a rice bar.
JUST as I got to the window, the bell rang and they closed the door in my face.

I got no food.
Luckily my friend gave me a muesli bar.

THEN I got home to find my cat is still missing.
NOT only that, but the Neighbors inform us sh'ed been run over.
The SPCA took her to the vet.

She died.

My cat.
Is.
Dead.
